Does my MRCOOL system require a professional HVAC technician for installation?
The MRCOOL DIY series is specifically designed for amateur installation and does not require a certified technician or specialized tools. However, for our central split systems and universal series, we recommend professional installation to ensure full warranty coverage.
How long does shipping take for heavy HVAC units?
Most orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Due to the size and weight of HVAC equipment, items are shipped via LTL freight and typically arrive within 5-10 business days depending on your location.
What is your return policy for installed equipment?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused, uninstalled equipment in its original packaging. Once a unit has been installed or the refrigerant lines have been pierced, it is no longer eligible for return due to safety and certification regulations.
Do MRCOOL products come with a manufacturer warranty?
Yes, MRCOOL provides industry-leading warranties. The DIY series typically features a 7-year compressor warranty and a 5-year parts warranty, provided the product is registered within 60 days of purchase.
Can I finance my HVAC purchase?
Yes, we partner with several financing providers to offer flexible monthly payment plans. You can select the financing option at checkout to see if you pre-qualify without affecting your credit score.
What should I do if my freight shipment arrives damaged?
It is critical to inspect your delivery before signing the BOL (Bill of Lading). If the unit shows visible damage, refuse the shipment and contact our support team immediately so we can send a replacement.
